Vamooo Gutiiiii

Hola capos! We had transfers and lets just things got mixed up a bit so lets get right into it

Welp I got transferred to a different área! Lets just say it was a bit of shock when Elder Jones told me that I was leaving the área and not him. Basically Elder Jones is now a ZL and they officially moved the ZL área to Piñeyro A which was my old área. So right now i am officially in Gutierrez B. My companion is Elder Soto and hes a stud but he's from Chile eeeeefffffff. So much has changed since last week so lets talk about

Right now I am in Gutierrez B but for short I will just call it Guti. Let's just say this Place is nothing like Piñeyro in the slightest. Ima be honest this Place is a little bit nicer and the houses are also a little bit nicer. But there is a lot more field and it is a lot hotter thats for sure. Also we have Hot showers in this pench hehe, but were going into summer rn so idk if I want that. Also this pench is on the 2nd floor and is right above a bread shop, so lets just say it gets Hot Hot real fast My comp is from Chile so lets just say President is forcing me to get good at spanish as fast as I can, or should I say the Lord haha.

I was really struggling a bit when I got here Im not gonna lié, i just started to Connect with the people in Piñeyro and then I got shipped off. It was really hard to accept, and I am with a different comp and things have been difficult at times. Me and Elder Jones were absolutely Boys and now I am with Elder Soto and I can only communicate in spanish. It has helped me grow really fast and really helped me rely on the Lord more and more, but it has not been easy.

That being said, I got straight to work when I got here. We put these 4 friends on date for baptism yesterday and honestly im not trying to think of anything rn but my people in my área. Sometimes I feel myself getting sad thinking about stuff in the past, but thats not gonna get me anywhere. The Lord called me in this area for a purpose so im gonna work my butt off and bring everyone to Christ. All I know is the Lord has a perfect plan for me and he knows a lot more than me and Im grateful everyday for that

A scripture I have really been relying on this week is 2 nephi 32:9

"But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul."

I know the Lord has a plan for me and I know he answers each and every one of your prayers. God loves you! He wants to hear you, go talk to him!

Email me if yall can i would love to hear from you, and ill make the next email funnier dont sweat it

Ironman

Sheeshh this week was a grind but it was one of the best weeks of my life lets get it

So obviously all of you know i love my mission and Argentina. Lets talk about some things i dont like. To start the weather is so inconsistent. Sometimes one day we will be in a blizzard in Alaska and next thing you know im back in Arizona. It literally makes no sense and I hate being cold and the start of this week was freezing but then the end of the week it was blazing Hot. What the sus, but also we dont got no Hot water anymore. So lets just say after a freezing day I am not too happy to have to go take a cold shower. It has been a bit of a struggle and it started out with me washing my body before i got in the shower and then jumping in for 15 seconds haha, but now ive turned into an absolute animal and i feel nothing.... Cold showers are now scared of me

Haha also something really funny, but when you flush the toilet here it takes a good 30 minutes to be able to flush again. So sometimes me and my comp have to take a poop at the same time and so one of the poops just sits in the toilet haha

Also the elections just happened in Argentina so hopefully I survive the chaos that will soon come

But boom we got a baptism this week lets gettttt itttt. We baptized this absolute stud named Junior. The kid is like 13 and hes hilarious, he loves calling me weston and trying to yell some sentence in English. It was actually really easy to baptize him because his mom was an inactive member that wanted to come back. But i love that kid so much it was so awesome, absolute capo

I think this week I might've seen the biggest miracle so far in my mission. So to start the month, me and Elder Jones were inspired to put 5 baptisms as our monthly goal for October. Right now we are at 2 and in order for someone to get baptized they need to come to church 2x. So we needed 3 New people to come to church this sunday to have a chance at hitting our goal. So during Sacrament meeting we had 1 New person which is a dub but i was like there is no way, what could I have done better? why aren't people coming? We passed by this family in the morning and they told us they were coming what happened! And as im sitting there praying my heart out, THEY SHOW UP, a mom and her daughter. It was the biggest miracle and all I know is 3 people are getting baptized this week.

What hurts is the ZL's absolutely ripped into us because they dont think were gonna get our goal and they were talking about how Elder Jones is a DL and he needs to be an example. I was really upset and Elder Jones did the christ-like thing and just said were sorry we will work harder. I almost started ripping into them because I was upset because we worked our butt off this week, got 3 New people to church which is the most in our zone, and then they come and rip into us. Whatever i love proving people wrong

Sorry this email was long but i had a lot to get off my chest haha. But me and Elder Jones have officially figured out the formula to why missionaries arent successful
1. Disobedience
2. Unworthiness (inable to teach with the spirit)
3. Lack of faith
I think people really overlook the last one, FAITH. FAITH literally is everything. Our god is a god of miracles yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Have faith he will put people in your path, have faith things will get better for work, school, etc. Miracles are brought by FAITH, also everyone go read ur patriarcal blessing, love yall!

I may have also spent 150 dollars on jerseys at the mall but there pureeee

1. Our attempt at a good pic
2. JERSEYS
3. Literally an América mall
4. Rainbow
5. Chocolinas shoutout Junior

Tengo mi fe

Whats poppin brand New week just popped in. This week was fast who would've guessed, love my mission!

Haha i love starting out with funny stories and I want to talk about the absolute DUMBEST responses that we hear on a day to day basis. It is actually hilarious tho, but we will be teaching someone in the street, and we're like "do you think our message is true" and there like yes yes. Were like okay then "so do you want to be apart of the only true church" and they're like of course! Then we hit them with the will you get baptized and they hit us with the "tengo mi fe"(i have my faith) It actually makes 0 sense. Last time I checked lady it doesn't say theres 8000 faiths in the bible. Haha one of the elders in our area was telling us how a lady hit him with the "cuantos dioses hay" (how many gods are there) and hes like uh 1 and shes like "gracias" and walks away. It has been the running joke in our área for the week but lets just say were gonna need to be doing some teaching in the after life

But we had zone conference this week and it was in person. I love my mission president with all my heart and I got to see Elder Springer shout out my boy. But it was really fun and I learned so much, this mission is awesome!

But after zone conference I had an overnight exchange with one of the ZL's and it was interesting. One thing that was lit Is i got to lead the área! It was high key mad stressful having to know where everything is and stuff but I learned a lot from it. It did really help me work on my spanish because he is from Chile so I couldn't resort to my handy dandy english jokes. But it was fun and made me realize how grateful I am for my trainer. One thing I didn't notice was how good of a teacher Elder Jones is. He is so good at being persistent and getting appointments and teaching people its awesome. I love my boy Elder Jones

This week was honestly really fast and tbh i stopped really caring for pday. All I really care about is teaching people but thats not gonna stop me from going to the mall today hehe. I find myself more and more lost in the work everyday and solely focused on my purpose. I hit a month in the field the other day and it has gone by so fast. I love my área, my mission, my trainer, the food, no where else I would rather be!

A scripture I loved this week is 2 nephi 28:30 but i love the end of it where it says "for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have"
Remember, if you are not progressing you are degressing. Complacency is of the devil, dont get complacent the Lord has so much planned for each and every one of you! Its the small things In life that make the miracles, this life is hard enough, why live it alone. Pray for strength from God this week!

I love you all shoot me an email

Bappttyyy=chocolinas🍫

Hello my beautiful email list, honestly every week in here is crazy fast I feel like I got here yesterday, but definitely a fun week

On this weeks top story lets talk about the most anticlimactic night of my life. So basically, this family invited us to their family home evening and they said they were bringing a non member family for us to teach. Now for a missionary, that is straight gold. So me and Elder Jones were like dude were dunking them all lets go. So we pull up, turns out its a mom and her daughter, AND THEY LIVE IN BOLIVIA! Like what on earth were we supposed to do, the sad thing is they were super interested and we totally wouldve baptized them. We even asked how long they were gonna be here in case we could have quickly baptized them and sent them off. But they literally were leaving the next day. Its okay, the mom basically just told us how impressed she was that 2 gorgous young men were spending 2 years of our lives serving the Lord. Gained some self confidence in the process so

Anyone that said ya boi was gonna get dawged on in fútbol here was just wrong. We had a noche de fútbol activity at the church on Friday and i was dogging on the Kids there. They're some Kids that are cracked but Elder Clouse is him. I may see 1000 stray dogs a day but safe to say im the only DAWG here

Also its become a tradition here that everyday we find one "crazy person" Someone that just like tries to bible bash us and call us rascist or something. Im like bro go read this book of mormon then come back and talk. You know how i know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church. Because anyone can gain a testimony on their own of this church. We dont have to be preaching to you for you to know our church is true. Anyone person that truly wants to know if this is the true church can read the book of mormon and find out. I testify that it is the most correct book on the earth today, it answers your questions, and you WILL feel closer to God after reading it.

Alright now that I just converted every non member on this list I'll continue hehe. OH YA, i totally forgot we did an "intercambio" or a comp switch on Wednesday and it was so fun. I went with this dude Elder Bigler for the day and I was just like im sending it today. So I basically just started talking w everyone I saw and I was prolly hittin them with sentences that made no sense but my confidence was at an all time high. I even challenged a family to be baptized cause im just him(they said no). But right before we left, we stopped this one lady and she started crying when we gave her a book of mormon, lowkey almost put me in tears. The great thing about missionary work is you can get rejected 1000 times but the minute someone accepts its all worth it.

Also we got a baptism this week. You know what that means. Me and Elder Jones only get oreos and chocolinas(chocolate crackers) if we baptize. So safe to say nothing hit more different than breaking your fast with an oreo. But thats besides the point, we baptized this women named Yuri, her daughters were the ones that help me with spanish and I love them, but it was so cool to see Yuri enter into the covenant path. We got one more left in the family until they are a complete family, so were gonna be working with their son to get him baptized but i am so grateful for the oppourtunity I have to be in this area with these people!

Closing with a promise I love from President Nelson. There are 5 promises we recieve from reading the book of mormon everyday
1. We will make better decisions
2. The Windows of heaven will open for us
3. We will receive answers to our prayers
4. You will receive direction in life
5. Satan will have less power over you

Im so grateful my mission is so focused on the book of mormon. This book has changed my life and it can change yours. I challenge you to read the book of mormon everyday this and you will see those 5 promises take action in your life!🐑

Food still bussin, still cranking out pushups, love yall shoot me an email today if you really love me

The Weekend (feat President Nelson)

Vamooooooo mis amigos definitely a dub of a week. CAN WE TALK ABOUT GENERAL CONFERENCE. Absolute bars but we will get into that. Another fast week for ya boi

This weeks top story is about chapter 14 of preach my gospel. For those of you who dont know, there is no chapter 14, but for missionaries it can be quite helpful. Chapter 14 is when you happen to use your good looks to help convert someone haha. But me and my comp were just walking on the street and this Dad and his daughter pulled up in a car. I saw them and he was like "yo ur the missionaries" I was so pumped and the entire time I thought he wanted to get baptized and then I hear my comp start dying laughing as he invited them to church and they drove away. What I didnt know was that the dad actually came up to us because he wanted us to date his daughter because we were both good looking hahahah. Then the daughter asked if she could give us our number and we told them we would be at the church on Sunday if they wanted to chat. Haha safe to say they didnt pull up but i thought it was so funny

Oh ya also we dedicated a house this week, never done that before. The 6 elders in my área were eating Lunch with these members and it was absolutely fire. Then we asked if we could help with anything and the Mom got really emotional talking about her daughter. She said her daughter was having some super scary nights struggling to breathe and they think its an evil spirit. Apparently evil spirits really like Argentina is what my comp was telling me. But we then asked her if her house was dedicated and she said no, so one of the elders offered to. I thought it was a really cool experience, first time doing that too but probably more to come tho

As far as eating wise here safe to say im still hungry. I think my stomach has expanded for sure since getting here. But you think thats gonna stop me from coming back looking like The Rock. Nah, ive started to crank out close to 400 push ups everyday. I just do like 30 whenever im bored and it actually has been helping. I might have a big ole belly when i get back but ill have an absolutely massive chest so itll be worth it

But when i tell you this was the greatest weekend of my life it really was. General conference as a missionary was insane. Every talk was so good i actually dont know how i never watched it. Also the choirs dropped absolute bars and you know me and my comp cranked 30 push ups a song. But a really cool experience for me happened during this conference. I decided to come into each session with a question. But when I tell you every single one of my questions was answered after watching the session and taking notes it was awesome! One of my questions was "how do i know if im living faithfully?" Then Elder Stevenson dropped some bars and he said theres 4 things basically

1. Are you standing in holy places
2. Are you standing with holy people
3. Are you testifying often
4. Are you listening to the promptings of the spirit
I love that! But if you are reading those questions and are un sure about one of them, i challenge you to make the changes necessary to confidently answer those 4 questions. More joy will follow I promise

You knew I had to end with President Nelson's talk how could i not. I remember when President Erying announced the last speaker was President Nelson I would consider my happiness to that of when the "valley oop" occurred for all my AZ people. But oh my that was the best talk ive ever heard. THINK CELESTIAL. If you didnt get the chance to hear it, go to bed until the talks come out on gospel library then go watch it. So many decisions in life become easier when we have a celestial mindset. It made me realize how much of a blessing it is to be here on a mission! Sorry mom im not coming home anytime soon, the lord needs me out here forever so

My invitation this week is from Elder Phillips talk which i loved. This week I challenge you guys to kneel in prayer and ask heavenly father how he feels about you, then pause and listen. Youre heavenly Father loves you, hes proud of you, hes ready to bring you back if your struggling!

You guys are all blessings in my life and i pray for all of you. Shoot me an email i love yall
