The bugs are back in town

 You heard it right folks, the mosquitos are back, idk what happened but pretty sure I got like 500 diseases from them...

Nothing like coming back on pday, all tired ready to hit the hay, getting showered all ready for bed. Walking into the room, looking up and seeing a swamp of 1000 mosquitos swarming your bed, I was like what the freaking poop, buttttttt good thing we had just boughten Raid that morning. So we basically raided our whole room, turned our whole house into a gas Chamber and killed them all. We had to like air out the house for a good hour so we couldn't go to bed, but isnt that just a fantastic way to start the week.

Moreover on things this week that just absolutely sucked, me and my comp got like a worm in our stomach's or something. We have been pretty sick and idk what it is. But that was pretty much the entire week for us, stomach aches and mosquito bites, it was a thriller week if you couldn't tell.

But we actually saw a crazy miracle on Sunday. Flashback 4 months ago when I arrived to this area, we found this one guy named Diego. We ended up putting him on date and then bro fell off the Face of the earth. Like some may have thought he died. Now fast forward to this Sunday, me and my comp depressed we had no one at church. We look at our phone and see a text from him and it just says "I'm in your church" haha idk what happened but bro pulled up. I mean I sent him a text during the week inviting him to church but ima be honest I didn't think he would pull up. So we ended up putting him back on date for baptism so that was a cool miracle. My first and probably last week in guti I have put Diego on date for baptism haha.

Also something AWESOME happened this week. One of the people we baptized 1 month ago was able to go to the temple and do baptisms and recieve the priesthood. It was pretty awesome to see his profile picture change to him at the temple. My joy will forever be complete, shoutout Walter.

Is This Not Fast?

 Ohhhhhh chaooo this week, she was a blur lets say that

Nothing like waking up on Tuesday morning really hype to have a good week of work, walking into the kitchen and then seeing 3000 ants swarming your house. I dont even know what happened but we got an ant Infestation. So ya boy looked over, grabbed a bottle of mosquito spray, and got straight to work. I just gassed 3000 ants to death and wiped em up like it was nothing. I still find a few stray ants every now and then but lets just say the problem should be gone for now.

Now to the title of the email...Me and my comp were planning last Sunday, and we realized our área was moving slow, so we decided to do a fast on Thursday to really show the Lord our faith. Welp it started off good.. until I got sick. I got like a stomach bug or something, so basically I was fasting while sick, and lets just say it was not the finest idea. Working Friday morning might've been harder than hiking the Grand Canyon (if you know you know). I had like 0 water in my body and 0 energy, didnt stop me from working just made it a little bit more difficult. Safe to say I lowkey lost a lot of weight so in reality a dub. 

Also we solved Ariel's doubts during the week and bro got baptized on Sunday. He's literally the funniest kid I've ever met. During his baptism interview we asked him if he believed President Nelson was a prophet. He goes "the Bible says there will be a lot of false prophets, so I really hope he's the right one, ima put my faith in him" What a stud. Bro had already been baptized 3 times, now a fourth time but in the right way.

I would do a spiritual thought but im reading in the Isaiah chapters, so no one will understand it. Because I sure don't...

 I dont even know where to start this week was kinda crazy but also really fast

I'll start off by giving my missionaries buddies a quick tip on what NOT to do as a missionary. I think this was Tuesday night and I was sitting in the house with my comp. Then I got this brilliant idea to shave my leg because why not. The minute I started, I knew it was a bad idea. It was one of those instant regret moments type vibes. So basically I was like, well I can't just leave my leg half shaved. So I shaved my right leg and called it good. Now I just have one super itchy shaved leg that rubs against my pants every time I walk. 10/10 don't recommend

Then during the week we proceeded to meet the most prideful 12 year old kid I've ever seen in my life. We talked with the brother of fransisco, the kid that got baptized the other week, and we were teaching him about baptism and why it's important. We asked him if he wanted to recieve these blessings and he said "nope". He then proceeded to explain how he had been baptized as a baby,  so we basically explained to him babies dont have sins and its an abomination. But then he said he still doesn't have any sins, so we explained to him how everyone has sins, so he then told US to get baptized again. We were getting absolutely trolled the whole time. Haha then his brother called him an idiot and told him he's going to the telestial kingdom to pay for his sins it was hilarious. But hey everyone's got there agency

But we did find some re escogido the other day. He's this 17 year old kid who basically straight up told us he's been baptized 3 times and still feels like he's missing something (he's doesn't know I know this) After explaining why it's important to recieve the spirit after baptism bro was like ight bet let's make it 4 haha. Pulled up to church and everything haha. He had some doubts after church but im pretty sure he should get baptized next Sunday so that's lit

It was a crazy week full of opposition and difficulties but sometimes every missionary needs it. But as I've been studying in Nephi, I've just been looking at the example nephi showed to his family when thinks got hard. They had no food, were in the wilderness, and their bow broke.. "And it came to pass that I, Nephi, did make out of wood a bow, and out of a straight stick, an arrow; wherefore, I did arm myself with a bow and an arrow, with a sling and with stones. And I said unto my father: Whither shall I go to obtain food?" It sure is easy to complain when things get hard thats for sure, I'm guilty of it. But as we follow Nephi's example and go and do, we recieve greater guidance and direction in life.

 Ayo ayo its thursday but we living large out here lets get itttt

You're prolly wondering why im writing this email on thursday, good question. Welp basically, lets just say january wasnt the greatest month for our mission in terms of baptisms. So prez was basically like, how on earth on you guys gonna help people make covenants if you dont even remember your own. So being the dawg he is, he scheduled a mission Wide temple trip. What an absolute dawg, so we're heading to the temple in a bit and im so hypeeeee it's gonna be dubz. I just watched the talk "I love to see the temple" by president Eyring and it got me pumped so I'm hypeeeee

But sorry for not keeping yall updated on our people progressing, but we had 3 baptisms last Sunday it was hype. We had Walter, bros literally an absolute dawg, he was looking for the true church haha and he found it so lets get itttt. Also we baptized the 2 kids and I love them so much. There names are guillermina and Francisco. But they asked me to baptize them so it was awesome, but lets just say in our church we don't have Hot water. So the font was a bit chilly, and when guillermima got in, she's 9 years old btw, She was NOT having it. She's like "nope I'm not getting in". So I basically told her to grab my hand and there was no way I was letting her salvation slip away just like that, so we bribed her with cookies and it was all good haha. Also fransico didn't wanna take a picture so that was sad but it was awesome. Vamo gutiiii

But I can see how much the lord has been blessing us since the baptisms. I remember we were planning all the baptisms last week and we were trying to find as well and it felt like no one wanted to listen. We were trying to get them baptized while looking for new people and no one was listening. So it was a bit frustrating, but then after the baptism the lord just sent us like 30 people that were ready. We've been finding like crazy this week and I've been able to see the Lords hand in my life so much this past week! Be patient with the Lord, because he will put people in your path

Also hit my 6 month mark yesterday, officially a sister missionary. Shoutout all the sister missionaries that started yesterday

But a scripture that has really stuck out to me this last week is mosiah 28:3

Now they were desirous that salvation should be declared to every creature, for they could not bear that any human soul should perish; yea, even the very thoughts that any soul should endure endless torment did cause them to quake and tremble.

The very thought of a soul being lost made them fear. I love that, and as members of the church we should feel the same way. How is it fair that some of our friends who aren't members could be lost after this life, when we know how to save them. This scripture gives me so much motivation in the Lord's work and I hope it gives you guys a better desire to share the gospel with your friends or other family members. Remember this gospel is for EVERYONE, there is never a bad time to share the gospel!
