The First Great Commandment

"The first great commandment" by Elder Holland is one of the greatest talks of all time. Somebody feed the mans sheep

Lets get ittttttt this week was very average but I wanna start with sharing a cool experience that happened on friday. So basically it was like 6 in the afternoon and me and my comp had already passed by every single one of our people (it was one of those days) So we were just like welp now what, and so we decided it would be best to say a prayer and ask God to guide us to someone. So we said the prayer and we started walking around and we turn a corner and I look at my comp and I go "3rd house on the right". So we walk to the house, we clap outside, and some kid walks out and I kid you not just goes "sup clouse". Turns out the kid pulled up to a church activity a while back, dont know how he remembered my name. Nothing happened with the kid, he didnt come to church or anything, but it was just one of those experiences that strengthened my testimony of how god knows me individually

Haha this was a funny story. We were teaching susi (the recent convert) the restoration again the other day. And we were having a spiritual lesson, we just finished saying the first vision and she looks and us and goes "can I ask a question, I've always had this question" So were like oh dang bet ya you can ask. And she goes "why was Jesus christ born in a barn" What the sus does that have to do with Joseph Smith seeing God. Gotta love teaching the converts

Also we had this "family home evening" planned with a non member family on Saturday. Well it was basically Just lunch, so we invited some members Over to this families house, me and Elder bigler bought a ton of soda, ice cream, and cookies for the kids because they were on date for the 28th for baptism. I learned how to make empenadas, kinda, I'm basically a pro now. So we got all these Kids hyped to go to church, and then they on Sunday. You gotta love the work of the Lord

Oh ya it was transfers, I'm staying in my área w Elder Bigler for another 6 weeks yuh my área is big dubz

Fasting Fasting Fasting

This week was a dub thats all ima say

But I wanted to start this email with the zone counsel we had last pday because it was insane. So basically we practiced how to teach the restoration in 4 minutes; teach it simple, clear, yet powerful and boy oh boy the spirit was so strong. It made me realize that when I teach things real Clear and simple, it is so much easier for the spirit to testify. It might have been the strongest ive felt the spirit in my life. Then the LZ's invited us to do a 40 day spiritual fast and told us to write down 10 things that we do on a day to day basis that could drive away the spirit, and then to eliminate those things for these next 40 days. Safe to safe I followed through with this invitation and I can really see how much more the Lord can work through me as I strive to be worthy of the spirit in every moment.

What a powerful zone counsel, and then we followed it up with zone conference. We're on a spiritual high over here. President per usual was spittin straight bars it was a great way to start the week.

Then during the week we saw some crazy miracles. I wanted to share this experience I had during a comp exchange with my zone leader. So we were in my área and we were looking for this member family that we could never find. So we were outside clapping at this one house and they weren't there..lame. But we started walking away and I look over at a house across the street and see this old lady like about to leave her house. So I see this old lady and for some reason I just knew she was elect. So I looked at Elder Barker, my comp, and I started smiling and im like "dude I feel something" So I walk over to her, and usually when I go up and talk to someone I introduce myself as a missionary ya know the usual. But this was different. I walked over and looked at her and just felt the need to ask, "what are you looking for from god" and she looked at me, and was just like "I feel so alone and I have no idea what to do" So after talking to us she told us her name was Angela and let us in her house. We were able to teach her the gospel of Jesus Christ and she was more than ready to accept a baptism date! We then were able to get her to church on Sunday and it was so awesome to see her Face at church because she was so happy, she already knew so many members and shes literally a miracle. Vamo Angela!

I can see as Im striving to be more worthy of the spirit, the lord can bless me with more promptings as well. But safe to say this 40 day fast has not been easy. As I look back every night and how I did with my 10 things I want to eliminate. I find that I sure do mess up ALOT. Something ive realized Is thats OK. A scripture I love is moroni 10:32...

"Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God."

It is through Christ and his atonement where we can be made whole. So even though I am far from perfect, through Christ and his atoning power, these imperfections can be made perfect. So even though as a missionary I mess up on a day to day basis, I know I can turn to Christ and be made whole. I know that Jesus is the Christ, and he is leading his church today. Through his atonement all of us can be made clean and reach our divine potential!

Bugs and Bashers

Yo yo yo yo yo, this week was really fast so forgive me if I dont have too many stories

But im definitely starting with this story that happened yesterday oh my. So yesterday after church me and my comp were taking a bus home ya know everything pretty normal. So were standing at the back of the bus just kinda looking out the Window and then I see a man start walking towards. And I watch him do the little religious cross thing on his chest and I was just like oh boy.... Then the dude just start screaming at us and he says "You guys are a cult, an american cult, this is a catholic country, you White Kids dont belong here, we should just kill you" Now I heard this and I was just in absolute shock at what just happened. So I was just looking at him so confused and then he got mad at the way I looked at him and threatened to throw me out the Window. Bro bro just threatened my life and got mad at me looking suprised. So I look at him, give him the biggest smile and say "I hope you have a great day!" Haha he got so mad and got off the bus it was so funny.

So that was a great way to end the week, but Lemme tell you about this week. Were dying. I've never been attacked by so many mosquitos in my life. Like its to the point where u can't stand still for 2 seconds before getting bit 50 times. And people like wont talk to us because of the mosquitos. Its rough out here, im probably gonna come back to the states with some type of ebola. So in case youre wondering were dying out here

We actually did see some crazy miracles tho, we put so many people on date for baptism. Like we were just finding elect after elect. And on Saturday we passed by EVERY single one of them. Made plans for them to go to church. Sunday morning comes... straight crickets. We literally had 10 people promise us they were going the day before and I better hear some good excuses when we pass by them again. But we ended up having 1 person on church, but its okay we live and we learn.

I wanted to with one of my favorite scriptures Alma 56:47-48 "they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them. 48 And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it." I read this and just think about how much it applies in my life. I think of how different my life would be if I didn't have an amazing mom to show me a christ like example. And I will not doubt because my mother knew it And dad I guess your pretty cool too...

Welp that's all from me

Midnight fallin

Yo yo yo New year New me lets get ittttt

Lemme start off and tell you, christmas was kinda trash. I got the worst headache and everything was closed so we couldn't do anything so in case you were wondering how I was on christmas... awful

But with that being said this was one of the best weeks of my mission, I found so much joy in the work Lemme tell you a few stories

I gotta start out with this story because its just so funny. So one night I was sleeping right, and I had a Dream. Me and my comp were teaching this women in the middle of the street sitting down. Then my comp offered to say a prayer. This is all in my Dream btw, so in my Dream I was all like "I should sit up for this prayer" because i was like lying down for some reason, so I started sitting up and boom, I wake up and im falling off the top bunk of my bed. We have a bunk bed and im the top bunk and I woke up just mid air, life flashing before my eyes, and I hit the ground so hard. My butt got real bruised but we survived. Haha my comp was so lost. Say to safe aint no one safe

But boy oh boy we found some FAMILIAS this week. I think we found 3 different families that are all keeping the law of chasity. It was straight miracles. We found these 2 moms that have like 5 Kids that live alone and then we found a dad that is married that asked if he could get baptized with his family. Oh my oh my we got some elect here in guti B. Safe to say I can see some miracles coming forth in the futureeeee lets get ittttt las aguas de gutiiiiiii

But we got Máximo and Marisa baptizeddddddd. I dont know if I talked about them but Marisa is this mom and she's such a stud. She stopped smoking and loves church so much. Then we got máximo the kid, literally future AP vibes from him. He's always asking us how soon he can leave on a mission to become like us. Safe to say it was awesome to be apart of their baptisms and to help them enter into the Lord's church!

Then last night haha was wild. All 6 of the missionaries in our ward got invited over to this members house. And it was so fun. They cooked up an Asado, and then they pulled out non alcohol beer, and we're telling us to drink it, felt straight out of a movie. But i've heard like thats okay to drink, its like martineli's I think. But something about someone telling you to drink beer just sounds a bit off haha. But it was lit and now we into a New yearrrrrr

For all you wondering my goal for this year, I gotta lose Weight, and im trying to get more receptive to the promptings of the spirit

Also all you missionaries, go read Saints, its PUREEEEEE
