Doubt your Doubts

Boys I got something good coming up this email... but first shoutout Brooki, got a New Sister on Saturday so that's pretty epic

That being said, something I've been really trying to learn on my mission has been acting upon my impressions I receive from the spirit. This week I put a heavy emphasis on this,  and I am going to share with you 3 experiences I had this week that have helped me understand the importance of acting upon EVERY impression I get from the spirit

1. This was on Tuesday Night, about 8:45 at night and me and my comp wanted to knock a few doors before going in. We said a quick prayer for some inspiration and as I sat there thinking, I felt an impression to walk straight 1 block, turn left, walk half a block and knock the house on the left. Very specific I thought, so I look at my comp, tell him what I felt and we went and knocked that house. As we knocked, out came our friend Blanca, and boy was she ready. She told us she had just been crying and needed some comfort because she misses her husband who had passed away With time she accepted a baptismal date and she is elect. However with every elect comes a ton of opposition so we will be praying extra hard for Blanca!!!!

2. This was a Wednesday afternoon, there was absolutely NO ONE in the street. Me and my comp said a prayer real quick and I received the most absurd impression I've ever felt in my left. I had the thought come to me and it said, "walk around the corner and say a prayer on your knees" now this was a pretty busy street we were walking to, so i thought bro that's crazy. I told my comp what I felt and he said bet. I was like oh shoot we doin this. So we said the prayer, and I look around and saw a kid playing outside. I walked over to him and asked him to go call his mom, and after doing so we found out his mom was a MEMBER and we were able to put her kid on date. I have no doubt God guided us to that house

3. Lastly, this was on Friday, and it was a rainy day. It was like 11 in the morning, no one was opening their doors, no one in the street. Not gonna lié felt pretty useless. So we were walking and I get this impression "go to the corner of street 880 and 853"(the streets are numbered here) this may seem like a normal impression, but we were like 20 blocks from those streets and not even gonna work over there in the morning. So I told my comp, and I seemed to forget my comps just down for whatever jaja so we started walking over there, and then I get an impression that just says  "RUN"  so I just started booking it. We get to the corner and I said welp, now we gonna knock every house. First house we knocked, this lady comes out and we were able to teach her the restoration and she accepted a book of mormon It was a huge miracle and has solidified my testimony that God is always watching over us

It was a crazy week, a lot more opposition than usual, but with all that we were able to get Mateo, Tiziano, and Ivan baptized. It was Mateo's bday on sunday and he turned 8 basically as he entered the font jaja. We also got to eat cake after shoutout the hermanas in our ward.

Love yall shoot me an email.

Professional Plunger

I think training might be the most fun calling there is on the mission not gonna cap. Me and Elder Barrìa got take-over if you know what I mean.

Welp I figured out this week that my comp had 0 clue how to use a bathroom in Argentina, on Tuesday bro entered the bathroom at 6:30 and I didnt hear a word from the kid until 7:30. So I basically opened the bathroom door and saw this man trying to unclog the toilet, what the sussy. Turns out bro uses half the roll of toilet paper every time he goes, so I was I like boy.. But, being a veteran here on the mission, you boy has delt with a few clogged toilets on the mish. Took a few days but we eventually got the toilet up and running again, think I know where my future employment is taking me.

This week was miraculous not gonna cap. So basically me and my comp were GRINDING all week. We found a few interested people but it wasn't until Saturday that God finally decided we had worked hard enough and gave us a miracle jaja. So basically, in our área there's a HUGE part time family. There's like 30 members in this house, all inactive, and there's 2, 10 year Olds In the house that need to be baptized. So safe to say I have passed by this house like 50 times and everytime we pass by the kids tell us how much they wanna be baptized but there is NEVER an adult home. But on Saturday we finally  found the mom and she basically told us to baptize her kids, and she has another kid that's 7 years old who turns 8 next sunday and the kid wants to be baptized on his birthday!!! So we put the 3 kids on date and the mom brought all of them to church AND 4 of her other kids that are member. Watching them walk to church was amazing, just an absolute hoard of kids and they took up an entire row at church. So now we got the 3 kids baptisms next Sunday which is gonna be awesome

But me and my comp are vibin out here. Bros just a mountain of faith I love it, and we're just kinda going crazy. We have been getting yelled at by a lot of people because u know we be out till 9 o'clock knocking doors, but I guess some folks just don't like our diligence and just aren't ready to recieve the restored gospel

A Proud Father

They said it takes about 9 months for a baby to be born, welp my son was born a couple weeks early, almost at the 9 month mark but ya boy has been called to train

I'll just start my introducing you to my absolute favorite person in the world... Elder Barría! This kid is an absolute stud and he's from the goated Chile, if this was an NBA comparison, bro is like me when I first got here, but is latino. Bros got one of the strongest testimonios ive ever seen and lets just say we have been grinding ever since he got here. Also, he does everything I say its pretty awesome

I wanna just start my sharing some miracles we have seen in our short time together. On Saturday night, it was about 6:30 and we had an appointment with someone who I knew we would challenge to be baptized. BUT she wasn't in her house when we passed by, and it just so happened we had an appointment on the other side of our área at 7:30 and it was pouring rain. So I looked at Elder Barrìa and said were coming back at 8:30. So basically me and him ran 30 blocks to our appointment and after rain 30 blocks back to her house. At 8:30 on Saturday night in the pouring rain, we put her on date and got her to church on Sunday. It was pretty incredible. But then when she was walking back from church she got robbed and texted us and told us she never wants to come back to church, but hey it was a crazy miracle!

Also, something I have been doing with my comp recently is praying just like every 30 minutes for guidance. We will be walking around and then ill stop my comp, we will pray for God to help us find someone, and I kid you not without fail, we have found someone like waiting for our message. It's like a cheat code guys, all you missionaries, start praying in the middle of the street, it's so amazing to me how God is so willing to guide us to people that need it.

I'm just gonna say this is the most fun I've ever had in my life with this kid. We are having so much fun and he has a killer testimony. We've been teaching so well together and missionary work really is awesome! Vamo la BAE

I Met A Prophet of God

You might be asking yourself, yo Elder Clouse you met President Nelson...you'll see

This week was something else, kinda a rough one but also learned a ton. Lets start out with the fact that we had to drop all 5 people we had on date for baptism, kinda depressing. I'll tell you the story of the reason we had to drop one of friends, our friend Leo...

Little backround, Leo is about 30 years old and is the ONLY non member is his family. But bro wants to be baptized, you might be asking yourself, whats stoppin him. Lets just say his family went absolutely ROGUE from the church. So we basically pull up to his house on Tuesday and we see his brother outside and we ask if he can call Leo. So he calls inside and out comes the dad, oh no. Lets just say this boy HATES Joseph Smith, its quite funny, and bro started going off on how he was a false prophet and all. He also made fun of us for believing in eternal families, as if it was something terrible and said doing baptisms for the dead was a joke. So I asked him what happens to the kids who have never heard of Jesus Christ ever in their life, and he just said they go to hell. At that point I just decided to mess with him, I asked if he had a bible and didn't need more bible, he proceeded to say yes. Heheheha. I then asked if the church he went to had a prophet and he looked at me and said Ya, me. Hows bro boutta call Joseph a false prophet and then say that. So I didn't even say anything I just walked away and we sadly did not pass by for Leo again

Also this week, me and my comp started off the week with a ton of energy, we were hype, and this week we proceeded to contact over 230 people. You might think we would have found at least person, you would be wrong. I have never contacted more people in my life, and no one wanted to listen. We couldn't even get anyone to open a freaking Google link on Saturday or Sunday. We deep in Lamanite territory

That being said I found a lot of joy in the work this week. After being depressed basically all this transfer because of my situation, dwelling on the fact I had a rough companion, our área wasnt producing much, I found myself thinking of all the negative things going on. So this week I made an emphasis on searched for joy in the work. I found myself a lot happier despite the rejection we faced, I found myself not getting as annoyed at my comp, and I found myself satisfied because I know I gave everything to the Lord. Something I loved that Elder Uchtdorf said in conference was "If you are looking for joy you will find it" and I can say I know that to be true. Joy is a mindset!

Love yall, thanks for the prayers

Haz una pausa

 Felices Pascua

So this week for Easter, the church made a ton of videos for Easter, about these people seeing missionaries in the street and just like calling them over and wanting to get baptized. Its all propaganda people, that did not happen this week, for all my spanish speakers, nobody hizó una pausa and did not permitir que cristo sea el centro. But its okay because it was Easter and we got to focus more on Jesus Christ!

This was was probably the toughest week for me mentally of my mission. I'd be lying if I didn't say this transfer hasn't tested every nerve in my body. There has been a lot of long prayers at night and a lot of really hard moments. But something that has really strengthened me this week that I started doing was every morning, I throw in my sound proof air pods, shoutout mom, and just listen to general conference. It really helps me forgot about my struggles and really invites the spirit into my life. For all you people struggling, missionary or not, I invite you do do this, you will find yourself having better days, trust

But lets just say this week, we found a lot of people who wanted to be baptized, u might think thats awesome right? Not a single one of them had a phone. We put 3 people on date this week and not a single one of them had a phone. This is a missionaries worst nightmare. Its almost impossible to make plans for them to go to church, so lets just say Sunday morning at 8:30 when we went to go wake up our amigos, we got yelled at by our amigos family, the other one didn't wake up, and the other one wasnt home. From that day forward, I told myself I would never put someone on date that doesn't have a phone..kidding....cant tell if im kidding. You want salvation, go buy yourself a phone, guys im kidding

Lots of walking this week, lots of talking, and a lot of Learning and being tested, but you know what they say "eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die"

Felt sarcastic today, happy Easter everyone
