Las aguas de mormon

Woot woot happy thanksgiving am i right. Kinda forgot it was thanksgiving because we straight grinding

Lets just sit the ward of Guti was absolute boomin this week. In our ward we had 5 baptismsss!!!! Every single companionship had a baptism and it was awesome. Lots of White this weekend thats for sure. Also as a mission we had 72 baptism this sunday. That is just absolutely nuts oh my. God is such a god of miracles and i have seen his hand in my life so much as a missionary! But this weekend Lucas and Atilio got baptized!

These baptisms may have seemed like sunshine and rainbows but they were not easy. On friday Lucas called us and told us he wasnt going to get baptized because he wanted to wait (he thought) Nothing that alma 34:33 couldn't handle. Were not gonna dely the day of our repentance ladies and gentleman. That same day Atilio told us he wasn't going to get baptized (he thought also) He had some concerns about tithing, i dont think he realized hes 81 and doesnt need to pay tithing, he doesnt have a job. But after 30 minutes of explaning to him how we doesnt have to pay, he decided that he was going to get baptized, what a stud. It is insane how crazy Satan tries to work right before baptism. But get good satan, ur bad

This week we ran into a lot of people that are evangélica. In other words the people that love the bible more than god. Haha we had a lesson on thursday with this family, and we taught them the plan of salvation. Lets just say it was interesting. Of all the thing that we taught, they just could not believe the spirit world was a thing. We showed them how after Christ's death in between his ressurection he taught people in the spirit world. But they were just not having it. I dont understand some people. We also tried to teach them how salavation comes by our works on the earth, and they told us that salvation is free, everyone gets saved as long as they accept christ. Your works here dont matter. How poetic, and all I can say is I tried. Maybe next time

I dont really know what else to say, but lets just say we got no one else right now lined up for baptism so safe to say lots of contacting this week

I wanted to end with my favorite part of missionary work. Absolute testifying that Joseph Smith was a prophet and restored the gospel. Ima be honest i dont know if I had a very strong testimomy of Joseph Smith before my mission, mainly the book of mormon which kinda go hand in hand. But on my mission as I have learned more about the restoration, i know with a surety that Joseph Smith saw what he saw. He was the instrument in the hands of God and because of the faith he had to kneel in the sacred grove and pray, the fullness of the gospel was restored. I know I can live with my family forever, I know the priesthood was restored, and I'm forever grateful for that. I know it will not be easy to be a member in the coming days so that is why we need to prepare now! For all of you that have doubts about Joseph Smith, i invite you to do what he did, and ask of God. I testify that Joseph Smith really was a prophet andhe translated the book of mormon through the power of God! I also testify that Russell M Nelson is the living prophet today and guides this church!

Lots of Pizza

A New week a New email from ya boy elder clouse. Couldn't think of a good title but i ate a lot of pizza this week so there ya go

I wanted to start off talking about my comp. I haven't really talked about Elder Soto a whole lot but this week I feel like our relationship strengthened so much. I was a little bit eh when I got here but I have actually learned to love this man. He's taught me so much, not Just spanish wise, but boy has he saved my butt in a few lessons. I'm not gonna lié people have asked me some questions and I have no idea how to answer, so usually I just act like I dont understand and elder Soto just replies with a perfect response. This transfer has taught me so much jaja vamo elder Soto!

Honestly im gonna lié the people here make absolute zero sense. Im not even kidding we got in a bible bash with a 16 year old the other day. How does that even happen. We were teaching her mom and she came out and gave us our book of mormon back because she claimed she had a bible and doesnt need another bible, don't worry 2 nephi 29 stayed in the pocket. I told her to go pray and that she can find out for herself if the book of mormon is true, she said she didn't want to offend God so she wasn't going to pray. Makes sense. I was mind boggled but what can you do

I did a comp swap again with a kid from Utah. It was fun, got to lead the área and talk english for a bit. Sorry just wanted to throw that in there

Jaja we had zone conference this week it was NUTTTSS. President ferrizo just knows how to spit bars. We focused on how to get people to complete little promises and by doing that they will eventually take the step to baptism. But during zone conference the choir sang Gethsemane and that might have been the strongest ive felt the spirit in my life. Especially the part that says
"This was done by Jesus, the fight was won by Jesus"
We will never be able to comprehend the pain our savior felt when we suffered in Gethsemane. But I am forever grateful for my savior and how because of him I will never have to go through anything alone! Jesus loves you!

Im gonna end with the miracle of my favorite person in the world, Atilio. He was our person at church last week and we had him all set up to go to church on Sunday with a member. Welp sunday morning comes and the member told us he wasn't there. I was so confused, sad, everything. So were sitting in the church like 20 minutes before sacrament meeting, and i told elder Soto i was gonna walk outside and bring anyone I saw into church with us. As were walking I see the man, the myth, the legend Atilio. An 81 year old man went to church by HIMSELF! Dont know how, but it was the happiest ive ever been in my life, and hes getting baptized SATURDAY!

Love yall, shoot me an email por favor

Consecration

Sheeesshhh i can't believe I'm half way through my transfer. #whereallthetimego

I dont know where to start but lets just start with the low of the week. I literally can't escape the Rain. Its impossible, theres nothing I can do. It ABSOLUTELY poured on friday. Ya boy was not a happy camper on friday, wet, cold, no one answering Doors. Sometimes you just gotta love missionary work. Nah its okay I made it through, you know what they say "god gives his toughest trials to his toughest soldiers"

But oh my I did an comp swap with one of the ZL's thursday and it was insane. I'll introduce you to one of the most consecrated missionaries I've ever seen. His names Elder Barker and hes cracked. We woke up at 6:30 and proceeded to run like 2 miles it was so fun. Then we were running to our appts for the day and just absolutely ripping. Im not gonna lié it was one of the most funs day of my life. I also love how he does not care one bit, if someone isn't keeping the commandments he just rips into them in the most loving way possible. I learned so much from that man in 1 day and I can tell why hes zone leader.

Church was kind of a bummer, we got 1 New person to church, we have a lot of people progressing it seems like but come Sunday she's crickets. Definitely tough for the mental game, but we just learn and get better here. I've also find myself getting along better with my comp more and more as the transfer goes along. We've been having more fun, and really focusing on the spirit when we are teaching lessons. The future is bright here in Guti B thats all I can say here!

Eef this email is rather a short one. I kinda do the same thing every day. Dont even know my rights from my lefts. But if I had to leave you guys with a spiritual thought I think it would be mosiah 14:5
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
I cant say enough how grateful i am for our savior. I tend to get emotional thinking of how he sacrificed his life for us. His perfected body is forever marked because of his love for us. I love the savior, and im grateful i have this oppourtunity to help people feel his love for 20 months!

Love y'all

Shoutout Elder Renlund

Hola mis amigos wow what a fast week. But ohhhh myy I dont think i can fit into words how much happened

Im starting with a funny story because I love doing that. But me and my comp were just chillin talking to these Kids one day and we look over and just like 5 cop cars whip around the corner. We just started walking away but people who were like 20 feet away from us got absolutely SWATTED. It was insane. Just like 20 cops hop out with shottys and threw like 5 people to the ground. It was kinda hilarious. Dont worry mom my área isnt alway like this, just a highlight of the week

Also before I talk about my favorite part of this week lets talk about what I HATED. It was FREEZING. If you know me I literally hate being cold. Its like my kryptonite. Safe to safe it was pouring straight Rain for 2 days straight and it was freezing. However thanks to my first transfer of straight cold showers I was numb. But the work was so hard. There was literally nobody in the streets and the only thing keeping me warm was the spirit. Its okay I survived

Buttttt now to the title of this email. Yesterday (sunday) ELDER RENLUND came to our stake center and gave a talk. It was literally the greatest talk i have ever heard and it was in english so it made it so easy to understand. Dont worry they had a translator. But that was the most people ive seen in one church building maybe ever. There was like 100 people standing in the back because there wasnt enough seats oh my. He dropped an hour long talk of just straight heat AND THEN he shook EVERY SINGLE PERSONS HAND. Thats right, i got to shake Elder Renlund's hand (it was very soft)

And as if they wasnt awesome enough, our mission had a conference of the ENTIRE MISSION. Every single BAE missionary in one Place. What for you might ask..
Because not 1 but 2 people from the 70 came and talked to our mission specifically. Yes we shook there hands too. Still havent washed my right hand (prolly never will).

These experiences have taught me to things
1. This church is so true its not even funny.
I literally dont understand how people dont think our church is true. The spirit was basically visible during Elder Renlund's talk and I would be suprised if there was someone in that room that doesnt get baptized.
2. How Lucky I am to be a missionary
The mission is hard, but the rewards are unlike anything, i love my mission, my área, the work, EVERYTHING. Yesterday was such an amazing experience for me I loved it!

This week was definitely a challenge. And this is the first time in my mission thats it not because of the language. As far as spanish its not really a barrier for me gospel wise. But im really not seeing the success I want. However, all it makes me want to do is work harder. If your not seeing success, work until you see it. Sheesh that was a bar.

Go read one of Elder Renlund's talks hes a G!

Love yall shoot me something today
