The Power of A Testimony

One of the best weeks of the mission that is for sure, idk if I said this but training is dummy lit

I wanted to start off by why I named this email "The Power of a Testimony" So on Tuesday, me and my comp decided to pass by this One lady that has been getting taught by the missionaries for YEARS and has never been to church. I just wanted to see what was up with her. So we knock on her door and she comes out with the biggest smile and goes "I know you guys and love you guys but I've been baptized in another church and will NEVER change" So when I heard that I was about to leave and then she started talking about all these things wrong about her church and why she likes our church too and how all she wants is to find the true church, and I was like welp lets teach her the restoration...

So we teach her the restoration and me and my comp just let the most powerful testimonies. I kid you not for an hour we were just testifying about how this is the ONLY true church, and how if she wants to find the truth she has to read the book of mormon and ask God. So then I go to give her a book of mormon and she goes I won't read your book, I was like bruh you will never find the truth if she never try. So we were just testifying about how this book is true and she goes I won't read the book. At this point I thought smh and I was like welp i tried, and we go to walk away and she goes "no I don't get it, you guys are so convinced you are in the true church, I promise you this Sunday I will go to church, rain, snow, I don't care, and if im not there it means I died" Haha me and my comp just had the biggest smile and were like YUH BET(you did not pull up to church) but its just a reminder how a testimony can literally change someone's life (not gonna lié felt like Abinadi for a minute after that experience)

But lets get to the good part of the week, we found the most ELECT family I've ever seen. On Tuesday we passed by this one old guy we were teaching, and we were teaching him, and his daughter who's like 40 years old walks out and goes "pass by later I need to talk with you guys" So we passed by in the afternoon and we met Lisbet and she walked out and she goes "I wanna change my life what do I do?" We read her a quick Alma 7:14 and she goes I needa be baptized! Were like yuh, so we slapped her on date and we go how many live in this house, and she's like there's like 20 that live with me👀, and I got 3 kids that are 8,11, and 17 years old👀 So we passed by the next day and put the 8 year old on date then on Thursday put the 11 and 17 year old on date. This family is just ready! They all pulled up to church and loved it, the 17 year old literally was asking us how he wants to serve a mission and go to the temple!!!!! They all have a baptismal date for next Sunday

Not gonna lié, the family almost didn't wake up on Sunday, we passed by at 8:15 to wake them up for church, and there drunk grandpa was outside haha (still awake from the previous night) and this GOAT basically kept going into the house to wake the family up, and he kept coming backing and saying "they won't wake up" but he was so drunk we just kept sending him back to wake them up and after the fourth time they woke up haha. Gotta love them drunk people Sunday morning.

Forgot to take pictures lowkey, but I'll be better...
