On Tuesday, I did a comp exchange with one of the elders in our zone, he's from Mexico and lets just say he is quite the character, it was probably one of the most interesting days of my life. He's like 27 years old, and he tries to baptize every single person he talks to its so funny, he makes sure to ask every contact "have you been baptized", now that ladies and gentleman is an inspired question. He also complained the entire time that the food wasn't spicy enough, you just gotta love them mexicans, felt right at home, shoutout Arizona
The Lord has truly been blessing our area so much, we had a girl come to church last week, she's 16, she was on date for baptism but we needed the signature from her mom for her to get baptized on sunday, so we went on Wednesday to talk to the mom and lets just say things got heated fast, the mom DOES NOT like us or the church (and we found out she was a member half way through the conversation), but after 1 HOUR of straight begging her haha, nothing worked, then I said the most heartfelt prayer ever, we showed her the signature and even her daughter shared why she wanted to get baptized, after ALL that she said no, then we just kept insisting and then she got sick of us and threw the white towel in and gave us the signatur, NEVER GIVE UP
But like I said, we had 3 more baptisms yesterday it was awesome, Juan Carlos (Camila's step dad), Camila(who's mom we begged), and Celeste! Their all such studs and the Lord helped us so much in progressing them. What was cool about this is that it was raining on Sunday, and our baptismal font is outside jaja so they got baptized while it was kinda raining it was cool. Celeste is one of my favorite converts, after her baptism she went in front and bared her testimony of how much she loved church and how she wants to endure to the end, for context we found Celeste 9 days ago! And she got baptized yesterday que grande
Something I also focused on this week was having a good personal study, sometimes I have days where i'm not gonna lie i read the scriptures and don't get too much out of it, I read to read you can say, but this week I truly tried to have life changing personal studies and just by trying to have a good study in the morning, changed the course of my whole day! Never forget to start your day off right
Being a zone leader has helped me so much as a missionary and as a person, its helped me think less about myself and more about the Lord and his work, I truly know this is the Savior's work, and as I've put other people first the Lord has blessed me with increased joy and happiness! Isn't that amazing, when we think less of our ourselves, God gets more out of us, gosh that was such a bar throw that on a bumper sticker
Love yall!
